Antique Over 100 years Vintage Hand Crocheted Baby Bonnet Hat Cap Early 1900s.
This is from a local estate. There were 3 handmade bonnets all from the turn of the century. One is for a baby, one is for a young girl and one is for a grown woman. See my other listings. These were Well Stored and are in very good condition. Smoke free family.
The color I would says is ecru. I believe this child's bonnet was made between 1880 and 1920. The detail work of this crochet is very intricate and beautiful. There is one string on the very top that has come undone. I'm happy to hand sew it back on or you can. This is an easy repair. See last photo.
Crocheted and scalloped ruffle of sorts around edge.
Crown has a starburst pattern probably venting for air.
Whey lying flat in in the photos, it is 7" across x 6" high.
