Dancing with the Stars fans furious over ‘fix’ as favorite is ‘robbed’ in season finale

Dancing with the Stars fans are outraged after one finalist didn’t take home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
After a 10-week run, the 33rd season of the ABC reality show has finally come to an end. Before Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson celebrated their victory, the show’s fans enjoyed a three-hour finale that enraged them at times with surprise appearances from “fake showmance” couples and controversial alum Anna Delvey.
Although it seemed Carrie Ann Inaba was the leading problem of the night, fans are more upset with Chandler Kinney’s loss.
Just before the fan’s votes were weighed in, the Zombies actress and her pro partner Brandon Armstrong stood at the top of the leaderboard with a combined semifinal and final score of 118, one point over Graziadei.
She was the only contestant to gain a perfect score for both the Freestyle Dance and Redemption Dance Round. Fans were sure she would either take home the Mirrorball trophy, or would be a close runner up. Considering their predictions, it’s understandable why so many were confused when she didn’t even place in the top two.
Kinney and Armstrong finished the competition in third place, following behind fan-favorite Ilona Maher and her partner Alan Bersten.
Her fans quickly brought their frustrations to X. One said: “why the F***was chandler not runner up or the winner………”
Another demanded: “OUR GIRL IS THE WINNER, FIX THIS S***.”
Many believed the reason she lost was because of the “racism and discrimination” she “faced this entire season.”

Someone responded: “Chandler was robbed. terrible month for my people.”
Another fan mentioned: “It’s okay, Chandler. Zendaya was also robbed of a win on #DWTS.”
Regardless of the outcome, Kinney and Armstrong were still one of the most impressive couples of the night with the “best dance of the season,” their Freestyle to “Hellzapoppin’” by Eyal Vilner Big Band and “Move On Up” by Curtis Mayfield.
The pair made history as the first African American couple to make it to the show’s finale.
When Kinney took to X after the verdict, she declared her time on the show as “a celebration.”
She said: “this performance is honoring all of those that have come before us that have made this special, historic moment possible.”
